“We are looking for entrepreneurs who through their market solutions are closing gaps,” says Dr. Angela Jackson, chief ecosystem investment officer, Kapor Enterprises.

WorkingNation sat down with Jackson at the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego

“When we think about gaps, we’re thinking about gaps for people of color, Black, Latinx, and Indigenous people. People living in rural communities. We really see tech as a lever to close those gaps,” says Jackson.

She continues, “We’re looking at accelerated learning programs. We’re looking at wraparound supports and innovations in transportation and childcare.”

Entrepreneurs operating in the green sector are import to Kapor, according to Jackson, noting climate justice is a priority for the organization.
