“The whole topic of advising is not new, right? It’s been around for a long time, but I think there’s actually been a lot of lessons learned in terms of how we do advising in a high-quality way and at scale,” says Brandon Busteed, chief partnership officer and global head of learn-work innovation, Kaplan.

WorkingNation sat down with Busteed at the Milken Institute Global Conference 2022 in Beverly Hills.

He explains a new initiative taps into more specific advising for college students. “It’s clear that it’s more important than ever, especially if you look at trying to support traditionally underserved students.”

Busteed continues, “Advising matters for everybody, but in particular for underserved students who have less access to parents and relatives in professional professions or networks.”
