Celeste Richie is vice president of workforce development for Results for America. The organization works with all levels of government “to harness the power of evidence and data to solve the world’s greatest challenges.”

Richie says events in recent months have fast-tracked the need for change. “Normal was inequitable. As we’ve heard from so many leaders and activists across the country, we don’t want to go back to normal.”

Richie adds employers should change their methods of hiring. “How do we do this differently? How do we focus on equity? It’s not just about focusing on an individual and trying to give an individual the skills or the training or the networking that they need to succeed, but that we’re actually shifting power dynamics.”
