Efrem Bycer on giving workers a voice

WorkingNation interviews leaders in public, private, and nonprofit spheres at the virtual JFF Horizons conference as part of our #WorkingNationOverheard campaign

Efrem Bycer, manager of Economic Graphic at LinkedIn Learning, helps policy leaders achieve their workforce development objectives.

Bycer says workers need to be provided in-demand skills and have access to the benefits of networking. “For any program to be doing retraining or upskilling and not to have, as a core part of the program, the social capital to get that job, get the reference, get the recommendation is going to fall short of its mission.”

He adds employers must go beyond inclusion targets in their hires, by giving their workforce a voice in the company, as well as the greater community.

WorkingNation interviewed Bycer for #WorkingNationOverheard as a media partner with the JFF Horizons 2020 conference. You can watch all the interviews on our YouTube channel.
