Green Jobs Now

Relative to the rest of the country, Mississippi disproportionately experiences the environmental and economic damages of climate change while also being home to some of its biggest contributors. Elected officials remain wedded to extractive industries, but an impoverished workforce is yearning for jobs with higher wages. Nevertheless, the state is slowly awakening to the notion that green jobs may just be their ticket out of last place.
