Hector Mujica is the jobs and skilling lead for Google.org. The organization states, “We bring the best of Google to help solve some of humanity’s biggest challenges…”

Mujica says Google.org’s work has always fallen into the areas of equity and economic justice. “We want to be sure that people from vulnerable backgrounds have an equal shot at participating in the digital economy and achieving upward mobility.”

Google.org is giving $12 million in funding and technical expertise to support organizations that are striving for racial equity. Through the Google.org Fellowship, initial grants of one million dollars each are being given to the Center for Policing Equity and the Equal Justice Initiative.

WorkingNation interviewed Mujica for #WorkingNationOverheard as a media partner with the JFF Horizons 2020 conference. You can watch all the interviews on our YouTube channel.
