The Huffington Post ran a profile of the new national nonprofit campaign WorkingNation and it’s mission to inform people about the changing landscape of employment due to the rise in automation.

WorkingNation founder and CEO Art Bilger is interviewed for the article. He describes how the automation and other factors are poised to impact the U.S. workforce and explains how WorkingNation is giving a platform to groups that have proposed solutions to help workers facing a shifting job market.

From the article…

“Bilger says he can’t predict the future, but he maintains that no matter what side of the debate you land on, there are certain realities about the changing job landscape that no one can deny and for which we should all prepare.

‘I’ll be honest here, I don’t know what the unemployment rate will be,” Bilger said. “But whatever 20 years from now looks like, we need to be focused on how jobs are changing and what are mitigating strategies and solutions. If we don’t do these things, it will be far more dramatic to the negative than it would otherwise be.’ ”
