Jenny Weissbourd is the senior project manager of the Economic Opportunities Program at The Aspen Institute. The organization states, “We drive change through dialogue, leadership, and action to help solve the greatest challenges of our time.”

Weissbourd talks about how dramatically life has changed in recent months. “We were living under such a different moment, where we had this tight labor market. We had worker advocates and workers having new kinds of conversations with businesses about what they needed and their experiences at work.”

She says, “Now the ground has shifted underneath us.  We’re all facing unprecedented stress and uncertainty.”

“I think it’s a time for all of us to come together to build power and really to use that power to create a more just and equitable society,” says Weissbourd.

WorkingNation interviewed Weissbourd for #WorkingNationOverheard as a media partner with the JFF Horizons 2020 conference. You can watch all the interviews on our YouTube channel.
