During the pandemic, there were huge gains for the wealthiest. Not the case for the least wealthy, according to Valerie Red-Horse Mohl, co-founder, Known Holdings.

WorkingNation sat down with Red-Horse Mohl at the Milken Institute Global Conference 2022 in Beverly Hills.

“The Positive Economy that we’re looking at in the future has to include the reduction or elimination of the wealth gaps,” says Red-Horse Mohl.

She says Known Holdings is looking to reduce that gap by focusing on scaling BIPOC-owned financial services.

“Ninety-eight percent of the world’s wealth is managed by white, male-led companies. But if you look at just the U.S., 40% of our population are people of color and we’re the fastest growing demographic. So, it’s in a contradiction and that has to change,” says Red-Horse Mohl.
