Dr. Lynda Davis is in charge of customer service for more than 9 million veterans who receive benefits or services annually from VA. She takes veterans through the services that the VA offers by taking them on a journey, using a ‘journey map’ and showing them the moments that matter through the eyes of other veterans.
Previously, Dr. Davis served as Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Military Community & Family Policy at the Department of Defense, as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Military Personnel Policy at the Department of the Navy, and as lead for the joint DOD and VA response to the recommendations of Commission Care for America’s Wounded Warriors.
Dr. Davis helped create the Recovery Care Plans and launched the National Resource Directory.
Organized by America’s Warrior Partnership, the Warrior Community Integration Symposium is an opportunity to share best practices, find innovative solutions, and form new collaborative partnerships to better help the veterans in their communities address the work challenges they sometimes encounter when making the transition to civilian life.
WorkingNation set up its cameras at the Symposium and interviewed the speakers and attendees about the important issue of helping veterans deal with workforce challenges. You can follow the conversation on our social media under the hashtag #WorkingNationOverheard.
