It’s important to have conversations around bridging the wealth gap, the challenge in this country between the haves and have-nots, according to John Danhakl, Managing Partner, Leonard Green & Partners.

WorkingNation sat down with Danhakl at the Milken Institute Global Conference 2022 in Beverly Hills.

“One of the areas that we’re pursuing involves basically promulgating the best practices for broader equity ownership amongst the employees that work in the companies that we have investments in,” says Danhakl.

Danhakl says allowing employees to share in ownership leads to a more productive workforce. “There’s an old saying that ‘a person who finds what they love to do, doesn’t work a day in their life’ and, ultimately, finding what you’re good at, what you enjoy doing is the key to success on many different levels.”
