It’s crucial to protect older and midcareer workers and the federal workforce program SCSEP – Senior Community Service and Employment Program, says Gary Officer, founder & CEO, CWI Labs.

WorkingNation sat down with Officer at Presented by JFF Horizons – See Beyond 2022 in New Orleans.

“[SCSEP] serves less than half of 1% of the entire older workforce community who need access to training, who need access to reskilling, who need access to opportunity to then transition back into the workforce,” says Officer.

He notes that a great barrier for older workers is a culture that is not age friendly. “Many companies have diversity and equity statements. Less than 20% of those statements reference aging, reference older workers.”
