9-1-1 Magazine, a police and fire trade publication, highlighted a new firefighter training program by WorkingNation partner organizations Cuyahoga Community College and KeyBank. The program aims to enroll more minorities, female, and U.S. military veteran candidates than ever before to fill the growing need for public safety positions.

WorkingNation produced a mini-documentary about the grassroots initiative as part of its Do Something Awesome series, which profiles solutions-focused programs across the country that are helping to create a workforce for a changing labor market.
